Publisher and editorial governance

Scientia Psychiatrica is published by HM Publisher in collaboration with CMHC Research Center. The publisher supports journal infrastructure and operations but does not determine decisions on individual manuscripts. The Editor-in-Chief has authority over editorial content, delegates manuscript handling to qualified editors, and requires editors to recuse themselves from conflicts of interest.

Complaints and appeals

Authors, reviewers, readers, and other parties may submit a documented complaint or appeal to scientiapsychiatrica@gmail.com. Relevant records are preserved and, where practicable, the matter is assessed by a person who was not involved in the original decision.

Corrections, expressions of concern, and retractions

Errors affecting interpretation or the publication record are corrected through a dated notice linked to the article. Expressions of concern and retractions are issued when warranted, following due process and recognized publication-ethics guidance.

Data availability and reproducibility

Authors must provide a data-availability statement. Data, code, instruments, and protocols should be deposited in a suitable repository when ethical, legal, and contractual conditions permit. Restrictions must be explained.

Artificial intelligence and automated tools

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Material use of generative or analytical AI must be disclosed, and authors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, citations, confidentiality, and rights. Confidential manuscripts must not be uploaded to external AI systems without an approved secure process.

Digital preservation and self-archiving

The journal maintains publication files and metadata in OJS and uses Crossref DOI for persistent identification. Authors may archive submitted, accepted, and published versions without embargo, with acknowledgement of first publication and a DOI link.

Privacy and personal data

Personal information entered in the journal system is used only for stated editorial and publishing purposes and is not made available for unrelated commercial use.

Advertising and direct marketing

Editorial decisions are independent of advertising, sponsorship, revenue, and marketing. The journal does not permit guaranteed-acceptance claims or misleading direct-marketing practices.
